
2022 Hunting Application Deadlines
Increasingly many states are moving from over the counter (OTC) tags to a draw/lottery tag system. This can make planning your next hunt an early and a difficult task. We want to make sure that you never miss a deadline again! We want to give you the most update date information so check back with us to see if there have been any updates.

As of 2019, non-residents do not receive a preference when submitting limited quota applications.

Preference point is awarded if you are unsuccessful in drawing your first-choice hunt code or if you apply for a preference point hunt code as your first choice.
You can get two preference points each license year for turkey if you submit an application for each season.

Tags for elk, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, and premium deer hunts are issued through the big game drawing.
Modified Preference Point system - You may earn one preference point per year, per species, as follows: Deer – earn one preference point if you apply for the premium deer tag drawing but are not drawn for your first choice premium tag. Elk, pronghorn and bighorn sheep – earn one preference point for each species you apply for and was not drawn for the tag.

A Preference Point can be purchase until June 2nd, if you don't apply for a species.
